Who are memberships for? 

An Extra Mile Runners membership gives you access to all of Extra Mile Runners sessions to fit your training goals. 

  • If you have a long term running goal and want to train with a team to get the most out of your training. 

  • If you have been coming to Extra Mile Runners for years and want to save money but still experience our community and everything we offer.

  • If you want flexibility with your training, you can pick and choose which sessions you come to each week on the Session Timetable (note: Get up to Five sessions are not available on the Session Timetable).

Membership FAQ's

What is included in my Membership?

Our 6mth and 12mth memberships include:

  • Unlimited Extra Mile Runners sessions each week that are available on the Session Timetable (Note: Get up to Five sessions are not available)
  • Option to join one of our Group Programmes (Get up to Five, Club10k and RaceTeam) at no extra cost. Your membership must cover the full duration of the Group Programme
  • Free registration to Technique Time, our Technique Workshop
  • Access to downloadable Training Plans
Our Extra Mile Runners Memberships give you the flexibility to come to any Extra Mile Runners weekly session to fit around your own training plan, or be guided by our coaching team in one of our 8 week or 10 week programmes (Get up to Five, Club10k or RaceTeam) To find out our next Group Programme programme start dates, click here

Can I start a Membership at any time?

Sure can. When you become a member, you can nominate the date your membership will start, this will be the date when your first weekly payment is made and is valid for 6mths or 12months depending on which membership you choose. Your membership will not auto-renew but we will will let you know 1 week prior to the expiry date that this is about to happen so you can renew your membership. If you want to do a Group Programme with us, your membership needs to be valid for the full duration of that programme. Click here to view Group Programme start dates.

Just remember, when you become an Extra Mile Runners member, you are committing to the 12mth or 6mth membership. You can check out the Membership Contract details here

Do I need to book my sessions and how do I do that?

Yes. When you become an Extra Mile Runners member you will be sent a confirmation email which includes information on how to book into your sessions. You must book into each session you want to attend.

  • You can book 7 days in advanced and cancel 30mins prior to each session.
  • You must also "check in" with the coach at the session taking the "Members" roll call.
If you are doing a Group Programme duirng your Membership (Get up to Five, Club10k or RaceTeam), you DO NOT need to book into the sessions.

When and where are the sessions held?

We have a variety of Extra Mile Runners sessions that take place at different times and locations during the week.

Our weekday sessions are always at Hagley Park and our Saturday sessions changes location each week so for our Saturday session, you need to visit the Saturday Endurance Run details via this page: Saturday Endurance Run Details

How do the sessions work?

We always start on time. You arrive at the session 10mins prior to the start time and "check in" with the coach allocated to take your roll call. The Head Coach does a session briefing and you then we get started. Our Session Timetable gives you all the details of each session (including what to bring) when you view a session. Also within each session's details there is a video explainer about that session so check that out before you come to the first one.

How do I pay for an Extra Mile Runners Membership?

To become an Extra Mile Runners Member, go to the "Become a Member" on this page and follow the instructions. Choose the Membership you would like (12mths or 6mths) and follow the payment process. The Membership fees are paid weekly.

What do I need to bring to the sessions?

On our Session Timetable under each session it gives you an overview of what to bring to each session.

Generally you need to bring: Yourself, a GPS watch (for certain sessions), appropriate runing gear for the conditions and water.
It's a good idea to check the weather forecast the day before the run to make sure you bring the appropriate clothing. Sunscreen, hats and warm clothes are essential - as we all know, our weather can be unpredictable at times. Please don't bring your fur babies or children to the sessions in the interest of our other runners, the footpaths can get busy and we need to put safety first!

Can I put my Membership on hold?

Yes, if you know in advance that you will not be able to come to any Extra Mile Runners sessions for a period, you can put your membership on-hold for a period of three (3) consecutive weeks by providing us with written notice of your intention to do so at least five (5) working days before placing your membership on-hold.

You can place your membership on-hold no more than once within your 6 or 12 month membership.

Is there anyone I can talk to about this?

What are the terms and conditions of an Extra Mile Runners Membership?

When you purchase an Extra Mile Runners Membership, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions and entering into a binding legal contract so make sure you are familiar with these before you start!

I have a Membership, how do I register for a Group Programme?

As an Extra Mile Runners Member, registration is included for any of our Group Programmes (Get up to Five, Club10k RaceTeam) - you still need to register for a group however. If you have a valid membership, you can register for one our Group Programmes, check out our next group start dates: Members Group Programme Registration Your membership needs to be valid for the duration of the Group Programme and you need to start the Group Programme at the start of the training block.
