Register for a Group Programme:
 Get up to Five, Club10k or RaceTeam

Our group programmes help you achieve specific running goals

As an Extra Mile Runners member, these group programmes are included in your membership - but you still need to register! Please register via the links below for the programme you want to do. 

With Extra Mile Runners' group programmes, you will train with a group all working towards the same distance goal with our coach-guided programme.  Our group programmes take place over an 8 or 10 week period and you have 3 group training sessions a week. 

All of our teams have programmes that are proven to work and are ideal for someone who wants to learn more about their own running, is looking for coaching, education (specific to that distance goal), group support and a team training environment that creates a fun and motivational experience for you. 

All you have to do is choose the group that is right for you!
 

When you are doing a Group Programme, you DO NOT need to book into the sessions separately. You will train with the team 3 times a week for the duration of the programme. 

GET UP TO FIVE
5km programme: 8 weeks

 

Ideal for someone who has done this programme before who is now a member

Start Date: 20 January 2020
Final Run Date: 14 March 2020 

 

What's included:
 

  • The 8 week Get up to Five training programme

  • 24 group training sessions: 
    3 group sessions per week for 8 weeks

  • Coaches to support and guide you at every session

  • Education around everything you need for success - including correct running technique

  • A group of like-minded people to share your journey with

  • A 5km finishers medal when you run your 5km run at the end of your journey

CLUB10K
10km programme: 8 weeks


For someone who can run around 5km and wants to take their running to the next level

Start Date: 20 January 2020
Final Run Date: 14 March 2020 


What's included:
 

  • The 8 week Club10k training programme (with 3 levels to choose from)

  • 24 group training sessions: 
    3 x group sessions per week

  • Coaches to support and guide you at every session

  • Education around everything you need for success - including correct running technique

  • A group of like-minded people to share your journey with

  • A 10km finishers medal when you run your 10km run at the end of your journey

RACETEAM
Half Marathon programme: 10 weeks

Group training for a specific Half Marathon race

Start Date: 27 January 2020
Training for: Southern Lakes Wanaka Half Marathon
Race Day: Saturday 4 April 2020

What's included:
 

  • The 10 week RaceTeam training programme with 3 levels to choose from to suit your current ability

  • 30 group training sessions: 
    3 x coach-lead sessions per week

  • Coaches to support and guide you at every session.

  • Education around everything you need for success - including correct running technique and mental strategies

  • A group of like-minded people to share your journey with


Note: RaceTeam does not include your race entry, you need to register via the race website for the event.
