⏰ If you think your 10km run will take you longer than 1hr 15mins, you can start at 7am.
Course Description:

Please stay on the left hand side of the pathway at all times

Watch out for cyclists, scooters and others using the park pathway

There are some uneven surfaces on this course, so watch your footing

Check before you turn around!

If you choose to wear a listening device, you must be able to hear what is going on around you.

Your safety is your responsibility.

We will set you off on a warm up first and then we'll start you off on your 5km run at approximately 7.45am.

This is an out and back run - you run to the 5km marker, turn around and come back the same way.

Run along the middle pathway towards the netball courts. At the end, turn left and run towards the hospital.

Continue around the perimeter pathway of Sth Hagley Park until the 5km marker.

Turnaround and reverse the course to your finish line (you will pass the 5km marker on your outward leg of this course).

There are no coaches with you - this one you do on your own 🤩

This is our last group programme for 2025, start dates for our first teams for 2026 are as follows:
Get up to Five and Club10k:
Start Date: Week beginning Monday 19 January
RaceTeam Christchurch:
Training for the Christchurch Half Marathon on 12 April
Start Date: Week beginning Monday 2 February
Registrations for all programmes are open now!
❗️If you want to do RaceTeam but start back with Club10k, please register for both groups and we will withdraw you from Club10k once RaceTeam begins.
If you are not an Extra Mile Runners members, please email us and we will sort out your registration for you.
Sessions over Summer!
Although our group programmes don't run over the Christmas and New Year break, we continue to have sessions on our Session Timetable that you can book into and come along!
If you have an Extra Mile Runners membership, you can come to unlimited sessions - just book in on the Session Timetable and we will see you there! (see your Members Information page to see how to do that - point #2.
If you don't have a membership, you can buy single Drop In Sessions, book in and come along.
