Final Week
We are heading into the final week of the 3 week Bridge to Epic programme. Make the most of every session and look after your bodies as we work through these final 3 group sessions.
The coaching team is really enjoying seeing you get back into your groove with your running with the team..keep it up, every session counts!

Course Description
Please run on the path at all times and keep left. Please don't run any more than 2 abreast and be responsible for your own safety.

From Barnett Park, run along Main Road to McCormacks Bay Road. Turn left.

Run around McCormacks Bay Road to Main Road and turn left. Cross over Mt Pleasant Road carefully and continue along Main Road to the pedestrian lights at Bridle Path Road.

Use the lights to cross over onto the Coastal Pathway. Turn right and follow the Coastal Pathway (around Beachville Road) out towards Sumner.

Turn around at your half way marker and reverse the course back to the start/finish.

RaceTeam Epic 2020
Your next challenge awaits...
RaceTeam Epic begins Monday 22 June and is a morning programme only, the session times and locations are:
6.10am: Monday: Netball Courts, South Hagley Park: HIIT/Track
6.00am: Wednesday: Hackthorne Road (outside Zeroes Cafe, 70 Cashmere Road): Hill Repeats
7.30am: Saturday: Locations change weekly ( 2 x 7.00am starts during the programme): Endurance
Have you registered?
If you registered prior to the postponement of this Bridge programme you don't need to register for Epic again. If you haven't registered yet but want to do Epic, please register before Friday 19 June.
Extra Mile Runners Members:
RaceTeam Epic is included in your membership (as long as your membership is valid for the duration of the 10 week programme). Please register before Friday 19 June.
What if you aren't doing Epic?
That's ok! You can still train with the Extra Mile Runners team. If you are an Extra Mile Runners Member you can book into any Extra Mile Runners session on the Session Timetable to fit in with your own training. Remember, you can come to unlimited sessions each week as a member.
If you aren't an Extra Mile Runners Member you can purchase single Drop In Sessions and book into any sessions on the Extra Mile Runners Session Timetable - we would love to see you keep training! If you want to find out more about Extra Mile Runners Memberships: Click here
When do our next Group Programmes start?
Club10k
We have had to adjust our annual Club10k group programme schedule due to Covid-19, our next Club10k programme starts Monday 27 July - this will be a 5 week programme. It will follow along the same format as our regular Club10k programme, just condensed.
5 Week Club10k Programme:
Start Date: Week beginning Monday 27 July (both morning and evening session options available)
Registration Fee: $165.00 (or weekly $32.90)
Extra Mile Runners Members, this is included in your membership.

8 Week Club10k Programme:
Start Date: Monday 31 August.
Registrations will open 1 July via the Club10k website.
RaceTeam
Our next RaceTeam is RaceTeam Queenstown starting the week beginning 14 September.
We will be training for the Queenstown Half Marathon which is on Saturday 21 November.
Registrations for RaceTeam Queenstown will open 15 July via the RaceTeam website.

Start getting your gear ready for Epic! How are your shoes? Do you have good layers of clothing for running? Do you have your gels/nutrition ready for the long runs? Do you need to book a sports massage?
